Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using ApexClip, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our service.

Description of Service

ApexClip is a client-side web application that enables users to process videos locally in their browser. Features include audio extraction, transcription, AI-powered clip suggestion, caption generation, and video reframing.

User Responsibilities

You are responsible for ensuring that your use of ApexClip complies with all applicable laws and regulations. You must have the right to edit and create content from any videos you process with our tool.

Intellectual Property

ApexClip is provided “as is” for video editing purposes. You retain all rights to the content you create using our tool. We claim no ownership over your videos or clips.

Prohibited Activities

You may not:

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code of ApexClip
  • Copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of our service or included software
  • Create derivative works based on ApexClip's code, algorithms, or user interface
  • Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to extract or copy content from ApexClip
  • Remove, alter, or obscure any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices
  • Circumvent or attempt to circumvent any security measures or access restrictions

Violations may result in termination of your access and legal action under applicable intellectual property laws, including the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA).

Pricing & Credits

ApexClip operates on a minute-based credit system. Processing a video consumes credits equal to the video's duration, rounded up to the nearest minute.

Tiers

  • Free: 15 minutes per month, renewing on the 1st of each month.
  • Tier 1 ($99 one-time): 60 minutes per month, renewing on the anniversary of purchase. Max video length: 30 minutes.
  • Tier 2 ($199 one-time): 180 minutes per month, renewing on the anniversary of purchase. Max video length: 1 hour.
  • Tier 3 ($299 one-time): 500 minutes per month, renewing on the anniversary of purchase. Max video length: 1 hour 30 minutes.

Minute Top-ups

Additional processing minutes can be purchased in packages (100 min/$12, 300 min/$29, 1000 min/$79). Top-up minutes never expire and are consumed only after tier minutes are exhausted.

Queue Priority

When multiple users process videos simultaneously, Tier 3 users are served first, followed by Tier 2, Tier 1, and Free users.

Refund Policy

In-site purchases (via Dodo Payments): All in-site purchases (tier upgrades and minute top-ups) have a 7-day refund window from the time of purchase. To request a refund, contact us at billing@apexclip.app with your purchase confirmation.

  • Credits that have been consumed (used on video processing) are non-refundable.
  • Unused tier minutes at the time of refund will result in a prorated credit removal.
  • Top-up minutes that have not been consumed may be refunded within the 7-day window.
  • Refunds are processed to the original payment method within 5-10 business days.

Credit Expiration & Renewal

  • Tier minutes reset monthly on the anniversary of your purchase. Unused tier minutes do not roll over.
  • Top-up minutes never expire and remain available until consumed.
  • When both tier and top-up minutes are available, tier minutes are consumed first.
  • If your tier subscription is cancelled, you retain access to remaining tier minutes until the current billing period ends.

Account & Authentication

ApexClip requires a Google account for authentication. By signing in, you agree to share your name, email, and profile picture with ApexClip for the purpose of account management. We do not store passwords — authentication is handled entirely by Google.

Limitation of Liability

ApexClip is provided without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to data loss or device damage.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of ApexClip after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
